Southwest Courtyard, 1984

The Southwest Courtyard Armature is a study for an entry to a commercial or residential high rise. Using a Mission style concept to articulate references to the history of the region, the courtyard is filled with artist inspired reliefs on the walls and ground plane. The structure’s purpose is to be an entry portal and break out space for a contemporary building. Opportunities for expression are at the walls, trellises, fountains, seating, paving, planting and glazing
