The second collage painting in my Homage to Anne Frank series, includes imagery of  Ophelia Pastel by Odilon Redon and the famous photograph of Anne Frank from the cover of Life Magazine. The paintings from this body of work are a response to her sensitive, uplifted face and arresting, expectant gaze. I hope to revitalize the image of Anne Frank so that the events and feelings that her legacy calls forth are considered within a visual and mental context of both confirmation and surprise.
