Rene Dubos has said that the bodies and minds of individuals as expressed in the social life of various cultures are living records of biological influences. Humanity grows by incarnating the past.  In this collage painting Cartier Bresson photographs of Jean-Paul Sartre and Alberto Giacometti are incorporated to reference the existential aloneness that was conceived after WWII.
